Rock 'n' Roll for Star Throwers

A rockin' night on New Years Eve raised a final amount of £555 for Star Throwers.

The New Year's Eve charity dance had the four piece band Kenny Lee and Hustler playing 60's and 70's Rock 'n' Roll music to an enthusiastic crowd. The band consists of Kenny Lee on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Mick Breame on lead guitar and vocals, Laurie Sudder on bass guitar and vocals and Sonny Walkman on the drums and harmonica.

Out thanks for Caroline Cracknell for organising a wonderfully entertaining evening and to all to contributed on the night.

Thank you to Sam Jessops and Wym Lions.

Our thanks go to Sam Jessops and the Wymondham Lions organising a concert at Wymondham Central Hall which raised £1000 for Star Throwers in memory of Roger Kingwell.

The concert was excellent and full of good community spirit. We were pleased to be part of the evening and to be able to tell people about the work we do at here at Star Throwers. The people at Star Throwers remember Roger with affection and especially for all the support he gave to us in the early days.

Our thanks again to Sam Jessops and her family and friends, and Derek Fripp, Moya and the Lions' ladies from the Wymondham Lions.
