W.I. Ladies enjoy a talk by Star Throwers

The Barford and Wramplingham Women's Institute were recently entertained with a talk about the work Star Thowers does for cancer sufferers and their families.

Anthony Perry, a volunteer, spoke about the work that we do at our centre in Wymondham and how we help people with all the problems which they encounter along the way in their journey.

There was a question and answer session after the talk and the 40 women who attended asked about the work that Star Throwers does and left with a better understanding of our charity.

During the interval Anthony also judged their "Name a Star" competition. We were also thrilled to collect over £40 towards the work that we are doing at Star Throwers from the Women's Institute fee and from sales of some of our merchandise.

A spokesperson for the Barford and Wramplingham Women's Institute said that they thought it had been a very successful evening.

If you would like Star Throwers to give a talk to your organisation, whether it be about Star Throwers or about any other aspect of cancer including prevention, please do not hesitate to contact us on:
